Conditions: 84 and muggy
The Thang: after news broke on Twitter that the route today would be the relatively flat out and back on St. Andrews Rd, the crowd started pouring into RIPBB at 5:15. Many Pax that have not been to Swagger in a while graced us with their presence this morning.
Twenty minutes out and back proved to be a challenge for most, either pushing for greater distance, faster pace, or just fighting the mental “I wanna walk” fight. It never ceases to amaze me how encouraging the Pax are to each other. Great work by all.
Prior to the run Napalm and AlterBoy got in an extra 3 miles. Possibly to #getbetter, but maybe so they would be certain they would be sweaty enough to endure the ALS Icebucket Challenge. While during the winter months of Swagger, ice was a common sighting, it was quite a surprise today. T-Claps to them for doing this with a donation to ALS Foundation and to F3 Foundation.
