Subtract out the lightning, thunder, and bare breasts (sort of like the clickbait title) and this GIF pretty much sums it up.

THE THANG
Today’s Thang was a two part medley consisting of some block work and a little running in between.
Part 1 was a Ring of Fire
We had a good chance to listen to the tunes which progressively got new sound effects as the speaker became more saturated. Here’s what we did starting with 10 reps and dropping by 2 each time
- ROF Merkins, rest in plank/downward dog
- ROF Overheads, rest in STH or at chest height
- ROF Squats w/Block, rest in squat position
- ROF Curls, rest w/block out in front of you
With 7 soaking wet dudes, this one took quite a while and the rest positions were definitely challenging. We concluded Part 1 with another run through the gauntlet (small loop/big loop) again, did our pull ups, and grabbed another block for Part 2.
In recent months at Depot Farmers Carries have become de rigueur, which is of course French for when this happens…
YHC made them the main focus of Part 2 as the clock was winding down.
Part 2
Farmers carry your blocks across the parking lot and back, while avoiding the watermelon shards (#DepotGonnaDepot). When back at the start do the exercises below, with farmers carries in between each exercise.
- 20 Merkins, farmers carry
- 20 Overheads, farmers carry
- 20 Block Squats, farmers carry
- 20 Curls, photo op, then blocks away
The Farmer’s Carries definitely got pretty hard (that’s what she said) toward the end and I felt myself steadily loosing my grip (that’s what he said).

MOLESKIN
Today was a good example of things usually not being as bad as you anticipate. A few weeks back, when Debby was just a happy little cloud in the hanging out in the Gulf, I signed up on the Q sheet for today. What with my news feed being clogged with couches, coconuts, and Central Park bears, I missed out on the weather forecast until just a few days ago. My discovery filled me with Dread….not actual dread of course, its just a little rain, but thinking of Dread (F3 NanTan Emeritus) and our Core Principles of which there are several. Going from memory (my copy of Freed to Lead is across the room) they are something like “avoid bright light” (why our workouts are always in the gloom), “don’t eat after midnight” (totally effs with your beach bod) , and something about water which I can’t seem to recall….
At any rate, I thought about canceling yesterday as I wasn’t sure if anyone would show (see Moose’s Solo Q, #NeverForget). I decided to go ahead with things, put it out to the bros, and got some HCs from Pol Worker and Flashdance and it was on like Donkey Kong at that point.
I was grateful to see that even before the one minute warning, 6 other #MenOfDepot showed and were ready to get after it today, despite the moistness.
Days like these you know you are gonna be soaked, so once you accept that, the fun can begin. That didn’t take too long as it was pretty much a steady downpour throughout. Memories were made and fun was had by all.
TClaps to Speedo, Bird Strike, Pol Worker, Flashdance, Lumbergh, and Soccer Mom for making it out today and making it a good time.
