6 Year Celebration at Roost

24 pax from Roost and Speedtrap showed up Tuesday am to celebrate the 6 year anniversary of Roost.  Thanks to the guys from Speedtrap for joining us.  We never would have gotten things started at Roost if some of us hadn’t started at Speedtrap.  Both AOs have strong support right now even with them being only 2 miles apart.  Keep up the strong work fellas and let’s keep this thing going.  Just do us a favor and keep Carpool and his unitard on the Speedtrap side of the tracks.  Here’s what went down:

Conditions:  60ish degrees

Tha Thang:

Warm up lap around the track.

SSH (IC) x 15

TTT (IC) x 10

IW (IC) x 10

Count off by 2 and split into 2 teams for a race around the school.  Team 1 goes with Moneypenny, Team 2 goes with YHC.

Team 1

Station 1:  Everyone does 6 burpees OYO

Run to blocks

Station 2:  Team DORA (cumulative team reps) using the 6 blocks.  6 pax at a time start reps while others LBC

                200 Thrusters (10 reps then switch)

                300 Squats  (20 reps then switch)

                400 Curls (30 reps then switch)

Leave blocks out and run to Stadium parking lot

Station 3:  Suicide Burpees. Starting at curb run to first parking lot line, 6 burpees, and run back. Run to second parking lot line, 6 burpees, and back. Continue all the way to the end of the lot (7 rounds). Plank on the six back at the start.

Run around the school up to amphitheater

Station 4: 6 dips and 6 box jumps for 6 rounds. Plank on the six.

Run to parking lot lines in from of tennis court

Station 5:  Parking line bear crawl/merkins.  Start at first line bear crawl to next, 1 merkin.  Continue and add reps to 6 then decrease reps (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). Plank on the six

Head back to the track

Station 6: Iron Cross loop.  Start at flag w/ 15 iron crosses, run to middle of turn for 15 more, continue for 2 more stops and 60 reps total.  Plank on the six at the flag.

 

Team 2

Station 1:  Everyone does 6 burpees OYO

Run to parking lot lines in front of tennis court

Station 2:  Parking line bear crawl/merkins.  Start at first line bear crawl to next, 1 merkin.  Continue and add reps to 6 then decrease reps (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). Plank on the six

Head to amphitheater

Team 2 took the win and the prize was extra ab work until team 1 arrived.  Additional ab, core, and burpees finished the morning off.
