#Thunder borrows #the300workout from #SwampFox

 

16 pax ventured into the gloom at #Thunder knowing full well that we were short on QIC volunteers for the day. In a pinch we borrowed the 300 Workout from Swamp Fox. Not to worry Chaser, YHC promises your workout was well received and will be returned in even better condition than it was found.

  • This workout is a solid test and gage for measuring your improvement. We will revisit this down the road and as today was YHC’s third time doing it the notion that you will improve is confirmed. You may recall this workout was initially done at Swamp Fox on July 30 while the rest of us swung kettlebells with the blue-haired lady at Brickpile. Adrian, to my knowledge you are the only other pax from today that has logged in this workout previously. File it away for those times when you’re out of town or need to catch a solo workout.
  • Urban Bootcampers? Where’d they go? Apparently our brush with our Thunder co-inhabitants last Tuesday officially ran them off. I am told they have invaded the amphitheatre at Emily Douglas Park so one can only assume we will cross paths again.
  • Thank you all for the thoughts, prayers, and encouragement for my family while we work through some special needs issues with our son. As discussed today through good updates on Robber and Smallmouth’s mother and Apple’s daughter, prayer and support do work and these families do feel it.

 

Announcements

 

  • Plan to attend (and bring an EH’d friend to) the monster convergence on October 26th at Finlay Park. It’ll be huge. T-shirts are expected in the coming weeks for those who’ve ordered them so plan to gear up for the big one year anniversary event.
  • We’re working on at THIRD Palmetto 200 relay team. We’re up around 28 participants so far with more coming from Greenville, Charlotte and elsewhere. This will not be an event you want to miss. Check the pre-blast for details and contact Chaser or YHC if you’re ready to commit.
  • The 2nd F Golf Outing at Crickentree is this coming Thursday. It’s not too late to participate and, with 20+ people already on board, it’ll be a great F3 showing. Contact AltarBoy at [email protected] to get on the list.
  • Standing lunch at Lizard’s Thicket on Beltline Wednesday at Noon
  • Standing HDHH at Henry’s Wednesday afternoon at 5:30
