Bass, Spicy Nacho and A’ja. These are the kids that make the F3 – Palmetto Place (AO: TURF) relationship meaningful. We have hopefully given them an outlet for fun, fitness, and maybe a chance to feel apart of an encouraging group. More importantly, they have given me and the other Pax a chance to receive unlikely relationships that help us understand the problems and solutions our community needs. In other words, its a chance for strong male community leadership.
I feel strongly in the goal of F3, which is to invigorate male community leadership; personally and collectively. I think its important to understand this is not one directional. It truly is a something which both parties receive equally as much as they give. The reality is that F3’s capacity to help and support extends beyond the workouts and can take many forms. There is always more that we can do. With the approval and support of Fountainhead, I want to encourage all F3 Columbia and F3 Lake Murray pax to learn more about Palmetto Place Childrens Shelter by coming out to an auction and golf tournament fundraiser.
Sunday October 5th, (Sunday weekend of the the mudrun, and the Kentucky game), Palmetto Place is having an auction fund-raiser at the Windermere Club in Blythewood. 6:00 – 9:00. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by five great chefs from around town. Come meet the Director Erin Hall and the other staff that do the hard work at the house. Plus its a chance to recover from the Mud Run, take the wife out and buy her nice things, and to get in some solid Second F. Tickets are $35 each, or $60 a couple. However, I have 8 tickets ( 4 couples) that I will give away. First come first serve. Hard Commit in the comments below to claim them.
Monday October 6th, is a golf tournament rom 9:00 – 3:00, with box lunches, awards and prizes. I have four spots on a team for free. Let me know if you want in by Hard Committing below. Again first come first serve. If you want to create a second team, it is $400 for a foursome.

I want to thank the Pax who have come out for the Friday workout. They can probably share their experiences and explain the importance of what we are doing.
