6 PAX, including 1 2.0, emerged from the Fartsack this morning, looking for a way to #GetBetter, the Battle Way. The Battle Way is not for every man, but only for the man willing to push himself from comfort to discomfort.  Waiting in the parking lot this morning was Fountainhead and YHC; two retired Nantans with a few Q’s under their collective belts.

Mosey from 50 yard line to opposite 20 yard line, perform 1 burpee w/bricks in hand.

Shuffle from 20 yard line to goal line, perform 1 burpee w/bricks in hand.

Sky Ups x 10 (OYO)

Line up on goal line, shuffle to 20 yard line, perform 3 burpees w/bricks in hand.

Mosey from 20 yard line to 50 yard line, perform 3 burpees w/bricks in hand.

Round 2 – Each Pax pushes sled (loaded with 70 pounds of weight) to 20 yard line and back while remaining pax perform upper body work w/bricks.

Round 3 – Each Pax pushes sled (loaded with 70 pounds of weight) to 20 yard line and back while remaining pax perform upper body work w/bricks.

Moleskin:

  • Great morning at Battle. Major T-Claps to Sammie for his first Battle post.  No way many, if any, young men his age are out getting after it like he was this morning. The apple has not fallen far from the tree at all.
  • T-Claps to Fountainhead for the coupons.  Cylinders do not describe the coupons.  Imagine more like 25 pound concrete artillery shells.  Add high reps with those, and work was done.
  • The burpee circuit on the field was designed for two more rounds, but, by the looks of the Pax it was time to move on from that unpleasantness.
  • Total distance of pushing the sled by each Pax – 120 yards.  The sled is a great equalizer.
