Opposite Day

YHS led 12 other PAX on a 6 mile run through downtown Columbia, earlier this morning. We followed the same route that Drive-by came up with last Wednesday, except in reverse. His only criterion last week was to satisfy Cornstache’s request that it be no more than 6 turns, which, by the way, is helpful when you’re running long distances, in sketchy neighborhoods, in the dark! Last week was tough- especially going up the second half of Sumter, only to turn the corner on Heyward and continue a relentless incline for another 1/4 mile. I thought that running it in the opposite direction would be easier, but, according to one PAX, it didn’t really make a difference, “That route sucks no matter which way you run it!” Subprime added, that he is “done with that route.” Here what we did.

The Thang:
Beginning (as always) at Shandon Prez, we ran south on Woodrow, turned right on Heyward, past the Athletic Village, right on Sumter, left on Blossom, right on Lincoln, buzzed a bunch of on-campus construction, into the Vista, turned right on Gervais, ran past the State House, up and down some rolling urban hills, then right at the New York Butcher’s on Woodrow, and then back to the church.

Announcements:
LEAP’s- upcoming launches for Augusta, Knoxville and Savannah.
