Mentoring at The Mission

We’re excited with what F3 is doing at Oliver Gospel Mission (OGM)! In a relationship that now spans 2 years, we’ve seen lives changed and believe that more lives can be changed…with your help. Be a #HIM and consider mentoring one of the men at OGM’s Recovery Program, where they’re “transforming lives”!

Mentoring at Oliver Gospel Mission
Be a friend, positive influence and example.
Are you a mature Christian male who has a heart for being a strong Christian example to men in recovery? As a mentor, you will be able to assist a mentee in his addiction recovery program by providing them the opportunity to see the Christian life being worked and lived out in your life by establishing a mentor-mentee relationship with one another.
Your role will be to teach and inspire by words and example. You can come alongside the mentee in their personal and learning development using your life, Christian experiences, and education as tools. We are looking for individuals who are growing in the Lord and who take His Word to heart and life.
Mentors are able to establish a relationship with their mentee by taking them to church, Bible studies, sporting events, the park etc. with them. The mentor can also visit with the mentee during lunch hours at Oliver Gospel Mission which are 12:00-12:20pm. Mentors will meet initially with the OGM Mentor Coordinator and participate in mentor training events from time to time. Time Required: A one year commitment is appreciated. Lunch, after business hours, and weekend availability is required. Ministering to individuals for an extended period of time can change lives. We are asking qualified volunteers to prayerfully consider this opportunity to show the love of Christ through servanthood to those in need.
