Tha Thang: 9 D&D fans posted for an unwelcome #Pondoapproved “run”. Monday rhymes with hills, so we did it with a twist.

Roll the deltoidal icositetrahedron alphabet dice (I really just made that up, I have no idea what to call that evil thing). A=1, B=2, etc. Run up the hill, whatever you rolled do twice that number of Merkins, run down, rinse and repeat x 25 minutes. Only 1 pax had the misfortune of rolling a wild, which was 5 burpees. I think everyone got 100-175 Merkins in on top of about 3.5 miles of running and repeats. Mosey home. Wait, then wait, then wait some more for the splinter group to show up. Those mileage hogs did not, so we had BOM without them.

Devo: Jude 20-25 “But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment[b] stained by the flesh.
24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time[c] and now and forever. Amen.”
Jude was writing to a church that was under fire with false teachers moseying in and leading pax astray. He gave instructions on how to deal with them, and how to minister to those who are stumbling as a result of that twisted attack. Interestingly, there is a nice mix of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility scattered throughout these verses. “Keep yourself”, “wait”, “have mercy”, “praying”, clear instructions for life. However, the ultimate is God, “He is able to keep you from STUMBL(E)ING”, “present you”,”mercy of our Lord”, who is ultimately the author and perfecter of our faith. Do your part that He calls you to, but remember who is boss.
