Leg-O-Rama and Burpee Record

While YHC will not be at the BRR due to conflicts, that’s no reason to not help those that are going, and BRR training doesn’t just have to be on running days. Today’s Thunder leg-o-rama will hopefully makes those hills a little easier.

In between leg work, the boys of Thunder did have time to set a new Burpee record of ONE. Which I believe is the official record for least amount of burpees in a workout that contains burpees. This record should stand for a long time…..until someone figures out exactly what a half burpee is. Nice work fellas!

The Thang:

One Lap of Track

SSH x 30

Imperial Walker x 30

Mountain Climbers x 40

Squats (4 count) x 25

Burpees x 1

Line Up on track edge:

Sprint to far side of track, half way back doing Karaoke, then jog the rest

Repeat x 4 with another Karaoke, High Knees, bear crawl, and squat slide

Move to brick wall:

Step Ups x 20

Dips x 20

Squats x 20

On Track- partner up for Lunge Pursuit

Partner 1 lunge walks while Partner 2 runs a lap until he catches partner 1, switch and repeat. The plan was to do an entire lap of this, but YHC was a bit wide-eyed in that estimation. We called it after half a lap with all pax thoroughly worked.

Circle up

Rest the legs for a minute with some shoulder work

Air Press x 40 (4 count)

Arm Circles forward x 1 min, Arm Circles backwards x 1 min

Air Press x 15 (4 count)

Back to Legs

Squats x 15 (4 count)

Apollo Ono x 20

Hip Thrusts x 20 w/ single leg holds

Peoples Chair x 1 min

 

Good effort by all this morning and good mumble chatter too. Pax found a way to keep things light with an added ball toss during shoulder work….might become a regular addition.

Thanks to Sway for making an appearance and bringing out FNG “Glue”…welcome, and now that you are 21 feel free to manage the pain you will feel tomorrow morning with plenty of PBR.

Devotion- Good message this morning:  No matter how small or unsung the part, it is still part of the whole and equally as important to the success of the whole. Take pride in your part and leaders make sure each part feels that pride.
