Birthday Wheel of Fortune

***Posted on behalf of Turnbuckle***

YHC noticed a bunch of birthday Qs at Shawshank awhile back so when my birthday came rolling around I asked Mr Grave Digger if I could have a turn.  After a failed attempt at counting last Q I was bound and determined to get it right this time.  I spent some time thinking about what would be a good workout to challenge the body and get some good chatter going.  I came up with a team building wheel of fortune.  Here’s how it went down:

Conditions: 72 and pleasant

The Thang: sound off, assemble in 3 groups, prayer and follow me to the brickpile

Assemble in the center of the wheel and drop your bricks.  YHC set up 8 stations in the shape of a…….you guessed it…..a wheel.  With 14 pax we already split into 3 groups of 5,5 and 4.  YHC was thankful to be in the group of 5 for easier division.  Each station had an exercise, the number of said exercise and how to get back to your bricks.  Each group had to complete the number on the paper then come back to the bricks to do # of curls from the station you just completed.  The groups picked which station they wanted to start with.  Rinse and repeat until time is called.

Station 1    50 burpees    then lunge back.  50 curls
Station 2    100 Carolina Dry Docks then bear crawl back    100 curls
Station 3    150 high/low planks(hydraulics) crab walk back    150 curls
Station 4    200 Iron Crosses lunge back    200 curls
Station 5    250 Merkins bear crawl back    250 curls
Station 6    300 Squats crab walk back    300 curls
Station 7    350 Flutter Kicks lunge back    350 curls
Station 8    400 SSH bear crawl back    400 curls

These numbers were divided evenly throughout the pax.  T-claps to those pax who assisted others to get their number.  I know everyone is looking in the mirror today to see if they are getting close to having some “Weezy arms”.

Mosey back to drop off your bricks and head to COT

YHC was expecting low numbers b/c of July  4th weekend and vacation time but was pleasantly surprised when 14 rolled in.  After a month in,The Hollow is taking shape pretty well with a good many pax showing up every time.  Grave Digger mentioned having a regular Coffeeteria on Saturday mornings for some 2nd F.  I agree with GD that this will help solidify the group.
