Garnet vs. Orange #BATTLE style

Lots of trash talking occurred prior to the inaugural #BATTLE Garent vs. Orange challenge.  At F3 events, score isn’t kept and we’re here to encourage and push one another.  Except this week and it’s BATTLE, everything gets thrown out the window.  Chaser and YHC had teams and everyone was encouraged to wear their Garnet or Orange for the workout.

Conditions:  Began with a slight rain and 42.  Ended with sunny skies and 43.

Workout begins with Chaser leading everyone to the center of the football field for a “warm-up”.  20 Burpees.  YHC called 20 Burpees to follow.  To the leaderboard for instructions.

1st set of exercises:  7 minute AMRAPS each time.  One team runs 110 yd sprints while the other team lifts a 100 lb medicine ball off the ground and over your shoulder.  Count the number of reps you get and divide by the team members.  Come back to the leaderboard, post the scores.  Virtually tied at this point.  Teams switch activities for another 7 minutes.  Back to the leaderboard, post the scores.  It starts to get ugly for the Garnet dudes.

2nd set of exercises:  7 minute AMRAPS each time.  One team pulls a 75# sand bag through your legs and down the football field.  Measure how many yards total during the AMRAP and divide by the total team members.  Other team performs 20 hand release mercans, 20 squats, 20 BBS, rinse and repeat for the AMRAP.  Count the number of reps you get and divide by the team members.  Come back to the leaderboard, post the scores.  Teams switch activities.  Back to the leaderboard, post the scores.  It gets really ugly for the Garnet dudes.  Splinter busted out 6 rounds of the mercans, squats, and BBS, to no ones surprise.  If you didn’t finish the total circuit it didn’t count for your team.

3rd set of exercises:  7 minute AMRAPS each time.  Rinse and Repeat the 1st set of exercises.  Back to the leaderboard, post the scores.  Team Orange is just getting stronger.  Flapjack the exercises one last time.  The 100 lb. medicine ball is no joke but Eldrick, Billy Blob and YHC crushed it the final 7 minutes.  74 reps to finish off this workout.

Chaser developed this entire workout and it was a ball buster.  Great job to all attending and this will become a tradition at BATTLE.  Too many guys that just love to compete.  It was awesome.
