#Battle throws down a #Gauntlet

17 faithful posted to the cooler than expected gloom at #Battle this morning. The #Gauntlet pax from Lexington decided the AO was the perfect option for concluding their weeklong series of pain.  Honored to host 11 or 12 from across the river, we felt a three headed monstrous Q was in order. What happens when three misery seeking heads pool their creative talents? A very long hour….

Push/Drive Tire length of sand pit (40ish yards)

Throw tire all the way back across the sand pit

Rinse & Repeat AMRAP for 15 Minutes (groups completed 3-5 rounds)

Bear Crawl Around the Loop Until the First Flag (50-60 Meters)
Merkins – 100 OYO
Duck Walk Around Loop Until the Second Flag (50-60 Meters)
Squats – 100 OYO
Crab Walk Around the Loop Until the Third Flag (50-60 Meters)
Big Boy Sit Ups – 100 OYO
Sprint the Remainder of the Loop Back to the Patio (about half of the loop or ~400 Meters)
The idea was to rinse and repeat but most could only complete one loop

  • Solid effort by all 17 this morning.  We drew this workout up to be very difficult and it appeared to deliver yet in a fair way.  The three circuits were very different and focused on different muscle groups.  This was a solid test and we were all fortunate with the weather.
  • T-Claps to the #Gauntlet pax that made the drive over to conclude their week with #Battle.  We were honored to wrap up the week at #Battle.
  • Tires are not fun to push across sand (no rolling or flipping allowed)
  • In addition to playing host to the #Gauntlet pax #Battle celebrated its 1 Year Anniversary this morning.  This AO knows how to throw a party.
  • Gypsy joined us and proclaimed it his 20th birthday today.  Happy Birthday to the #WarBaby!
