Conditions: beautiful 55 degrees, clear and no wind.In anticipation of Easter and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, 14 PAX arose from the fartsack for a Stations of the CrossFit-inspired workout led by YHC.THE THANG:
- Mosey and Circle-Up with the requisite Disclaimer.
- Warmup:
- 25x side straddle hops IC.
- 25x flutter kicks IC.
- 10x merkins IC.
- Double column Indian run with down to CES wherein we hopped the fence and did CF WOD “Cindy” – 20 min AMRAP (as many reps as possible) of
- 5x pull-ups
- 10x push-ups
- 15x air squats
- In the interest of safety, YHC provided towels and chalk to ensure maximum grip on the pull-up bars.
- Double column Indian run back to AO.
- Grabbed some kettleblocks and moseyed over to light post to partner up for following:
- 21-15-9 reps of
- Partner 1 does kettleblock swings 21 reps
- Partner 2 holds air squat
- Flap jack each and then continue scheme doing 15 then 9 reps
- Slow count to 10 to recover
- At this point PAX unsure to count up to ten or down from ten.
- Then onto next cycle of 21-15-9 reps of
- Partner 1 does kettleblock thrusters 21 reps
- Partner 2 holds plank
- Flap jack each and then continue scheme doing 15 then 9 reps
- 21-15-9 reps of
- Minimal break before doing CrossFit Open WOD 12.1, also known as 7 minutes of burpees for max reps possible.
- Mumblechatter initially believed YHC was joking about 7 minutes of non-stop burpees. It was no laughing matter.
- Mosey back to fence to gently and lovingly return blocks to proper starting position
- Rally around shovelflag.
