EMOM Day at Arena

YHC has been making the rounds and saw an opening on the Q sheet and figured it would be good to venture out to Arena.  Hadn’t been back here in awhile and it was good to see some familiar faces and listen to Floppy Disk’s professional mumblechatter.  Potluck had some good Lt. Dan stories which was definitely worth the trip itself.  It’s always good to see newer PAX that are continuing to get better.  Been traveling with this workout and modifying a little so now it was time for the men of Arena to get in some good work.

Now to start the workout:

No FNGs, disclaimer, and prayer.

Pledge of Allegiance

Traveling warmup around the school: SSHx15 IC, TTTx10 IC, Imperial Walkersx15IC.

Moseyed to pickup the blocks and then back to where we would spend the rest of our time.

YHC described the workout and it all started with the EMOM workout which is good to get the heart rate up.  Had some good “Need to Breathe” tunes, which Floppy Disk seemed to approve of.

EMOM 10rounds/10min

5 merkins

5 squats

5 burpees

Burpee Count: 50

Next, YHC explained that for this workout, one PAX does AMRAP block exercise from the board, while the other runs to the end of the walkway and back.

The kicker: Both PAX do 3 burpees EMOM during exercise.

Exercises:

Alternating Merkins

Squats

Blockees

Curls for Girls

In The Truth
The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (NIV) ( 1 John 2:4 )

Having a relationship with Jesus will keep you grounded and leaning into a growing faith. A growing faith is a good sign. In a relationship, truth is spoken, conviction is felt, and confidence in God strengthens. Walk in the truth and obey God’s commandments.  Was there a time in your life when you weren’t living in the truth?  What were the circumstances?
