Wheel Barrow up the stairs and Blocks at Smokehouse

YHC arrived at smokehouse to find 2 other pax eagerly anticipating the beginning of bootcamp. One by one the pax rolled in.  YHC was actually expecting a low turnout with 3 or 4 smokehouse regulars running the Gauntlet. But eventually there were 11 men in the Smokehouse Gloom.

There was an unfamiliar face among our group. Yes! An FNG was in our mists. YHC really had to be on his best behavior this morning and make sure for follow all the correct protocols and procedures.

5AM – Disclaimer, Prayer, Mosey over the fountain that isn’t’ a fountain.

It was at this point that one final man pulled in the parking lot to give us a true dozen pax. YHC tried to convience this man that there had been a slaughter starter and he had 25 burbees to catch up on but he told us in the interest of time that he didn’t want to hold us up.

Thang 1

Partner up and mosey over to the stairs. The partners will help each other count to 11.

The pax perform 1 big boy sit ups at the top of the stairs and 10 four count flutter kick at the bottom. Increasing the BBSU by 1 and decrease the flutter kicks by 1 each lap.

To get from the bottom of the stairs to the top, the partners will alternate doing a wheel barrow. P1 holds P2’s feet up while P2 goes hand over hand up the stairs. Walk down the stairs and flap jack for the next pass. This is just and stupid and hard as it sounds.  Skipping steps is a horrible idea if you like your teeth.

Plank it up for the 6.

Note: the pax do not like a departure from tradition. Do not tell them which hand should be on the ground. Please tell them which hand should be up.

Thang 2

Mosey/Slowsey over to the brick Pile. The men had some fun with the fact that the bricks were a long way away and YHC cannot run.  Time would be up before the Q gets there, they said.  After a few minutes into this series they were asking if it was time to go to the flag yet.

Each Pax takes a block and 2 bricks. The bricks and blocks are placed on opposite sides of the track, about 15 ft apart.

Partners are abandon and this last set of 11s is you vs you.

The 10 block thrusts then walk to the bricks and do one renegade rows w/squat trusts and overhead press (RR STOP) (1 rep = merkin + right hand row + merkin + left hand row + squat thrust + overhead press).

Decrease the block thrusts by 1 and increase the RR STOP by 1 each lap.

YHC called time with about 1 minutes to go for the pax to put up their blocks and bricks and assemble back at the twin shovel flags (Rooster and Smokehouse).
