Upper body special and avoided getting wet

9 PAX joined YHC for a really good upper body workout special, mainly because I’ve been nursing a bum knee lately and didn’t want to get too involved in a leg workout. T-storms subsided and made for great conditions this morning- about 65 and clearing. Ground was a little wet, but we avoided laying in it. I don’t like cold water.

The THANG:

Disclaimer- Prayer- Mosey to parking lot for COP all IC: SSH, Through the tunnel, arm circles, imperial walkers, squats

  • To the curb for plank- Merkins on the curb x 10 IC, plank some more, more merkins on the curb x 10 IC, plank some more, flip over and do some dips x 10 IC, flip back over and plank some more then do 10 more merkins x 10 IC
  • Mosey down to the block pile for some blocks then head to the closest BB flattop
    • Curls for the Girls x 10 IC
    • Shoulder press x 10 IC
    • Napalms x 10 IC
  • Pair up for some partner exercises
    • One person lunges with block baseline to baseline and back while the other does squats- need to complete 120 squats as a team
    • One person does penguin walk baseline to baseline while other person does dips- need to complete 200 dips as a team
    • One person does backward lunges without the block to half court and back while the other person does calf raises- need to complete 300 as a team
  • Couple times we did random merkins in there for no rhyme or reason
  • Finished with curls for the girls x 10 IC and put blocks back where we got them
  • Moseyed back to shovel flag, slight detour to the dry breezeway for 6 MoMs, highlighted by some cat/cow yoga style to end it…. Wapner’s fav

Devo: Examine your prayer life. Is your prayer life like the spare tire in your car? Do you essentially forget about it/not use it only until you really need it? The challenge is to utilize your prayer life all the time- good times, bad times, etc… not only when you going through a rough stretch (flat tire).
