The Perfect Way to End the Year

At the beginning of the year I had made it a goal to Q at all the AOs in Lexington (not including those that would be opened during the year – those will definitely be on the schedule for 2018). While I still need to hit Ambush, I finally made it to Jumanji. After being there I’m asking myself what took me so long. Howard Park has some good space for some creative exercises, and I DEFINITELY plan on being back.

On this day, it happened to be my 73rd Q of the year! The number 73 has a special significance for me – and not just because Sheldon Cooper considers it the best number. Being born in 1973, the number 73 has long been my favorite number, and I find myself inserting into conversation often as a little inside joke to myself. It doesn’t bother me that nobody notices (or cares). It’s just really for me.

The fact that my final Q of the year – a monumentally year for so many reasons both positive and negative – was extremely significant. To be able to share this occasion with a new group of men at Jumanji was even more special. in the end, I think what we accomplished together was not insignificant. The PAX pushed through the suck and embraced the plan I had laid out for them, and 73 reps of some of my favorite exercises later we were all spent.
