Shaking out the spiders at Ambush

Ambush is 1 mile from YHC’s house; Grandstrand’s Warthog is 171 miles.  Yet over the past several months, I’ve been to Warthog many more times.  One way to fix that?  Sign up to Q (and hope I stay in town that day).  There were 15 PAX for the BC which covered about 1.3 miles.  Beforehand there were 5 PAX for 3 miles of SL.

Conditions: starting to feel good, a little misty.

1 minute warning, no FNGs, disclaimer, prayer.

Mosey away from the parking lot for some warm up exercises:

  • 20x SSHs IC
  • 20x TTTs IC
  • 20x IWs IC
  • 20x LBCs IC

Mosey to the block pile and pick up a block.  We had 15 PAX, 15 blocks, and 15 spiders – so the numbers worked out great.  After a little spider swatting, we mosied across the street to some awaiting cones.  Cone “0” was the exercise point.  Cone “1” was about 26 meters out.  Cone “2” was an additional 12 meters.  Cone “3” was an additional 12 meters.  50 meters total – surveyed and certified to F3 standards (aka – just get it close).

Partner up for the following exercises:

DORACIDEs:  Partner 1 does the exercise.  Partner 2 runs to Cone 1, does 1 BURPEE, runs back to Cone 0, runs to Cone 2, does 2 BURPEEs, runs back to Cone 0, runs to Cone 3, does 3 BURPEEs, runs back to Cone 0.  Partners FlapJack until the total exercises are completed:

  • 100 BLOCK MERKINs – lay blocks shoulder width apart. Left hand on ground, right hand on block, do 1st MERKIN, shift right so both hands are on block, do 2nd MERKIN, shift right so right hand is on ground and left hand is on block do 3rd MERKIN, shift left, etc. etc. etc.
  • 200 BLOCK SHRUGs – Standing, one block each hand, shrug shoulders.
  • 300 DIPs – Lay bricks on ground, sit it middle, do dips.

ONE BLOCK DORAs: Partner 1 carry 1 block to Cone 2 and back.  Partner 2 does exercise.  Partners FlapJack until the total exercises are completed:

  • 50 BLOCK SQUATs – hold block in front, on shoulder, whatever, do a squat.
  • 100 BLOCK CURLS – now I know you know what that is.
  • 150 BENT OVER ROWs – are you still reading these descriptions?

TWO BLOCK DORAs: Partner 1 Farmers Carry both blocks to Cone 3 and back.  Partner 2 does BBSUs.  Repeat to Cone 2.  Time expired so no Cone 1.

Collect cones.  Return blocks.  Mosey back to parking lot.
