10 pax took advantage of the excellent weather conditions and the excellent facilities at Lexington High School.  The men of the CAT AO came to work, and YHC had a weinke drawn up for them.

Devotional:

Piggybacking off a message put out by Iron Mary on the Hollow board, YHC reminisced of experiences had over the past 3 and a half years of F3.  Through an eye injury, personal struggles, every day challenges, work concerns, events that were difficult, YHC has felt the benefits of true friendship from my F3 brothers.  While preparing for the devotional, YHC felt compelled to define what friendship means.

Studies show that better quality of friendships will make a person more likely to be happy.  True friends:

  • Are the for you
  • Dont judge you
  • Dont deliberately hurt your feelings
  • Respect you for who you are
  • Enjoy your company
  • Loyal
  • Tell the truth even when its hard
  • Stick around when its tough
  • Make you smile
  • Listen
  • Let you vent
  • Ask to help
  • Get physical – BOM comes to mind
  • Keep in touch
  • Make a tough call

I have many friends that I grew up with, played sports with, went to college with, work with.  After being exposed to the brotherhood of F3, I can look at those friendships and it is easy to realize that the bond with my F3 brothers is no match to what I have always considered a friendship.  Not that my friends arent there for me, but this thing is different.  I can say and be whatever I want and I know I have a group of men that are going to see me as one of them regardless of my differences.  If it werent for F3, I dont know where I would be.  I can honestly say that I will be forever grateful.
