So YHC just got back from another trip to The Valley to assist in getting that AO from Saluda up and running, I had a low impact Q planned that day to “take it easy” on them as word was already on the street that big bad Ranger was coming to bring some serious pain and from Ranger’s BB I believe that is exactly what happened this past Saturday. So with a limited Q performed i wanted to give the men of Smokehouse the full experience so same Q just amped up a notch or two, that was the plan for this morning. An emphasis was planned for the spare tire region which YHC constantly needs work on, little did i know it would be so enjoyable, you know with all the singing brother Wilson treated us to, Love Shack by the B52’s turned into to Nub Shack by Wilson and it was music to everyone’s ears (or to no ones but hey we wont tell him which one). Matlock posted but knew my Q would be too easy for him so he just decided to get some miles in instead, or maybe he new Wilson was gonna sing so he wanted to get as far away as possible as could be seen by him setting a total distance PR (5K too I’m sure he wants ya’ll all to know that as well). Arrive at destination to punch the Clock on the mornings fun. Instead of a baby hill like The Valley has, YHC took the Smokehouse pax over to Hite hill for some Clock Merkins. Partner up! P1 does AMRAP squats at the bottom of the hill. P2 Bearcrawls up to the midway point of Hite Hill doing Merkins–number and body position of the clock then Crawlbear back down hill and flapjack w/ partner until you both reach 12 oclock. Once 12 is reached finish, mosey to brickpile and pick two winners and circle up on the track for the ab enthused Deck of Death. Pax will lunge to center, draw a card and do number and exercise listed then lunge back then on to next pax until deck runs dry or time is called or until Wilson loses his voice.

Just like The Valley, looked like Diamonds were loved by the Smokehouse pax this morning the most as many V-up were performed but wait a minute…our favorite Hearts/Burpees took over with a late bevvy of face cards to be our lucky suit today! Shank was talking about Jokers from the get go and lo and behold his first card drawn…Joker. Joker this morning was a Star Plank (arms and feet spread out as far as possible and hold that plank position until exhaustion #crowdpleaser). Almost made it through the whole deck but it wouldn’t have been worth it anyway, all that was left were 3’s and 4’s of easy stuff. YHC strategically placed the “good ones” up top and knew we were in for a good time when no one took him up on the offer to shuffle the deck, ALWAYS SHUFFLE THE DECK BOYS!!! Bricks up. Gloom was glorious this morning guys, enjoyed it!
