Crusaders tackle a wet, windy Groundhog Day

The Crusade PAX turned out to tackle Groundhog Day.  It was wet and windy, and that didn’t stop the PAX of Crusade from posting to get better.  This was YHC’s first Q of a run group; YHC kept hearing others say, “It’s easy; just point in a direction”.  It really was easy and fun.  YHC encourages others to step up and help lead these great men of F3 Lexington.

Weather: 48 Deg with a light rain and breezy

Disclaimer and Prayer

Route: Run through Whiteford to Lowe’s and back

  1. Turn left on Hwy 6, headed to Lexington
  2. Turn Left on Whiteford Way
  3. If you get to Lowe’s before time is up, run the loop in the duplex neighborhood behind Lowe’s (no one followed this, by the way)
  4. Turn around and head back to Hwy 6
  5. Turn right on Hwy 6
  6. ENDEX at Crusade AO

It appears that almost no one listened to the route; except to follow Whiteford to Lowe’s; some turned right at Lowe’s, ran to Publix, turned right on Old Cherokee, turned right on Hwy 6 and ran back to Crusade; others ran to Publix and turned around.  When folks said it was easy to Q a run group, they failed to mention that some of the PAX could be hard-headed and do their own thing.  YHC should have realized this, given the amount of mumblechatter at a bootcamp AO.

In the end, all PAX arrived back at the AO, safe and accounted for, and a little better for having posted with our brothers.
