Not to cold for cropdustin’ at Swagger

6 men avoided the temptation to stay in their warm beds on the first freezing morning run of the fall to enjoy some 1st F and #getbetter at Swagger. Special guest of the day was Winston, Cowbell’s dog with his own #smokeboots and several time veteran of our early runs.  He never looked tired or short of breath unlike some of us humans.

Conditions: Scrape the ice off your windshields put on your running pants/tights and glove up, it was cold but warmed up nicely after a few suicide sprints.

The Thang:

Official word of the day and potential lexicon entry #Cropdusting – meaning to fly by the pax while unleashing a mighty backblast that lays like a fog over your brothers and renders them stunned or repulsed at the smelly event.

1 mile mosey up Lake Murray to Mt. Walgreens summit and back down to Kroger parking lot. First cropdusting administered by Major Pain with YHC the primary victim  Parking lot suicides across entire lot followed by backward suicides out across lot and mosey back. Quads on fire #crowdpleaser.  Indian run twice around the length of the lot during which the most lethal backblast was released by Cowbell.  No man was spared in the tight confines of the Indian run.  Head to the hill and 63% effort up and mosey down. Skip up and mosey down. Backwards up mosey down, quads very heavy at this point.  Karaoke up and mosey down.  All you got to the top and mosey home to the virtual shovel flag.

COT and BOM

Kotters to Enos after returning today from the DL after leaving one of his ankles out on the mudrun course.  Good to have you back and just in time for 13.1 on Saturday.

Welcome Creole for his first post at Swagger.

Continued prayers for Leadbelly who broke his ankle at Swagger last week. Speedy recovery brother.

Announcements:

GORUCK is coming. Train hard or back out now. Its not going to be pretty but will be worth it when we finish strong.

Governor’s Cup is Saturday.  Stay loose and hydrated this week.  Don’t overdo it and please don’t get hurt before the 8th.

  1. Never too cold for a good Cropdustin! Some of us can run FAST, some of us can run LONG…and some of us don’t hold anything back while running! It’s good to #Smoke the competition. #MightyBackBlast
