Burpees, Bear Crawls, and Shuttle Runs Oh my

YHC adventured down the yellow brick rd from the Crypt to the Graveyard for the first time to be greeted by 30 smiling pax ready for their Tuesday morning beatdown, hopefully YHC delivered.  YHC was a little nervous Qing at a unfamiliar AO, and the mubblechatter let him know it. Luckily, YHC settled down once he got a set of bricks in his hands and he felt right at home.

YHC couldn’t make his debut at the Graveyard without doing his favorite exercise the broad jump burpee and since we already had bricks in our hands why not do it with bricks!

Line up on the sideline- Broad jump burpee w/bricks across the field and lunge back

Stack the bricks and mosey to the palace which resembles a football stadium

Since it was YHC’s first time having a football field to run on, he figured he would introduce the Pax to the workout that haunted him throughout college, the 300yd shuttle run.  Every college football program in the country are not allowed to have structured workouts in the summer months, but players are expected to stay in shape. YHC’s school tested if their players stayed in shape by making them perform the shuttle run, if you failed you got to attend an extra practice at 5am just to run till you threw up before 3 a day practices started. How it works

300 yd shuttle- Sprint from goal line to 25yd line and back 6 times x2 and average both times together to get your final time

Moleskin: It was pleasure to get out of my standard AO and Q at the Graveyard. YHC highly recommends it, great way to meet new Pax and push your limits. Great work by all the PAX today, hopefully yall enjoyed it as much as I did.
