Weather: Unbelievably humid as expected in Cola during the Summer.
Great first week back at Woodshed! This morning brought out a mix of PAX including Woodshed regulars, Legion regulars, recent FNG SheRa continued to post, and the Nantan himself. Since it was my first Q in a long time on the WS grounds, the goal was to get a good workout while visiting a handful of locations around the campus…getting a sweat wasn’t difficult at all and simply required standing for a few minutes.
Warmup – SSH x25 in cadence, Squats x20 OYO, Imperial walkers x15 in cadence, Grass pickers x10 in cadence & burpees x5 OYO. Mosey to the brick cage where each PAX picked up 2 bricks.
Indian run (2×2) from the cage across the fields to the lower playground park area where we partnered up. Partner 1 – lap around dirt path with bricks. Partner 2 – AMRAP rotating between 10 squats & 10 tricep extensions. Each Partner do each task 1 time. Circle up for some various planks called out by YHC.
Indian run (2×2) from the lower playground to the main large circus. Find your partner. Partner 1 – lap around with bricks. Partner 2 – AMRAP burpees. Complete 2 times. Circle up for various planks called out by YHC.
Indian run (2×2) from the main circus to the smaller circus at the front of the school. Find your partner. Partner 1 – lap around with bricks. Partner 2 – AMRAP (lap 1: LBCs and Russian twists…lap 2: overhead press…lap 3: lunges). Complete 3 times. Circle up for 10 merkins as well as various planks called out by YHC.
Indian run (2×2) from the smaller circus back to the brick cage. Before putting the bricks away. Circled up for 5 more burpees, plus some air chair time (counting around the circle twice). PAX tacked on 5 bonus burpees for losing count a bit. Bricks away and mosey to the flag where we finished with some boat/canoe before time was called.
Announcements included F3 Dads reminder (bring your 2.0 out Friday at Emily Douglas!) as well as confirmation that next week Woodshed/Legion will head to Legion for both Tuesday and Thursday (5:30 start time).
JarJar took the lead and closed us out with a prayer. Also, a note to start back up with regular Devos again soon.
