Great turnout on a perfect morning for a run through downtown Columbia. Eleven cruised the gloom of Shandon before climbing South Main to the State House grounds. A jaunt down the concrete canyon of Main provided a valuable lesson as the pax dodged a number of tow trucks removing the vehicles of those who shacked at The Hub the evening before, making way for Soda City. From there, through the Lincoln Street tunnel, and then through the Horseshoe, where McLovin regaled us with stories of him and his roommate driving a Pontiac Fiero around The ‘Shoe when they came to interview with the admissions office. Ah, memories. Then, through Five Points, and onto the Lee Street death march, before landing back at Dreher.
