Walk the plank ya lubber!

Conditions: Perfect but dark (oh so dark!)

Tha Thang:
6 pax showed up for a non-running (except very brief and/or Mosey) core destruction, as advertised. They were not disappointed, even though this was probably the lowest heartrate Q ever seen from YHC. As always, this is from memory, caveat emptor.

COP with awkward square pavers in cadence: LBAC’s (front and back), overhead clap, Russian twists, merkins. Mosey to right field.

Sprint to center, do 10 Merks/10 BBSU’s, sprint back, airchair for 6. Repeato with 15 count. Then repeat substituting something. Circle up.

Plankwork.
Bring Sally Up (Flowers from Moby). Hold the low position, up on the lyrics, back down, forever. First round with squats/pavers, second round with Merkins. #grumblechatter . Mosey to lot. Curls for the girls IC x 20. Return pavers. Mosey.

Worst burpee ever x 5 OYO (Each down includes wide, standard, and narrow Merkins). Mosey to playground.

P1: 7 pullups, P2: Merkins until P1 finishes. Flapjack. Repeato x 3.
P2: 5 pullups, P2: Deep Squats until P1 finishes. Flapjack. Repeato x 2. Mosey to street.

Flutterkicks IC x 30. Mosey

Plankwork.
Alphabet abs. Mosey to tennis court.

Arkloaders with crabwalk forward and back, then bearcrawl forward and back, then inchworm forward and back.
Plankwork including supermans, Peter Parkers. Mosey to corner

Flutters IC. Mosey to “stadium”.
Bunny hop, walk down, repeat x 4. Mosey to right field.

Plankwork including Makhtar N’Diayes (read the lexicon dummies). Mountain climbers. Lunge walk to fence. Mosey to lot.

Single leg squats til 0615. Time called.

COT
Moleskin: Excellent work by the pax, especially our new FNG who kept up great. Welcome Scrubs! (Medical student of Jar Jar’s Matthew Pascual. University of Florida stuff considered, but HeeHaw’s charisma and logic were unimpeachable).
Announcements: Mud Run signups, do it now. Woodshed passed off the shovel flag to Odyssey today, congratulate him and thank Silver Bullet for his hard work.

Devo:
2 Chron 16:12 In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet, and his disease became severe. Yet even in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but sought help from physicians.

Many of us have dealt or will deal with significant injuries or illness, and will have them occur in our loved ones as well. Asa did not handle his well. How you deal with them matters, and God is sovereign over even these struggles. He uses them for several purposes.

1. Suffering produces intimacy with God (Job 42:5)
2.Suffering equips us to comfort others (2 Cor 1:3-5)
3. Suffering refines us (Is 48:10)
4. Suffering produces growth and maturity (James 1:2-4)
5. Suffering conforms us into God’s image (Romans 8:28-29)
6. Suffering can increase our trust in Him (see above)

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness (2 Cor 12:9)
God did not abandon Jesus, even on the cross, but raised Him up, and used his suffering for a great purpose. Does he not love you the same?
