#Thunder runs back YHC’s circuits – again –

It took 5 years of posting to F3 Columbia but one day about a month ago it finally happened.  This phenomenon is probably common if you’re name is Chaser or Splinter.  For YHC, it was not something to be expected.  Gump had the Q at Thunder and busted out a workout YHC Q’d a few months earlier.  YHC almost didn’t post that morning – yet another reason to avoid those demons that pull you back to sleep.

In the wake of the tragedy that struck Gump’s family this week YHC felt it appropriate to run this workout back one more time.  For the 10 faithful in attendance, work was done.

Conditions – 77 and muggy

The Thang

Depart COT running under the covered walkway – pause on the side yard.

COP

·         SSH – 25 (4ct)

·         IW – 20 (4ct)

·         LBAC Forward/Backward – 10 (4ct)

·         Squat – 15 (4ct)

·         Merkins – 10 (4ct)

·         Russian Twists – 20 (4ct)

·         Merkins – 10 (4ct)

Depart Side Yard running toward front of school on Woodrow

·         Bearcrawl the semi-circle, brick walkway

·         Proceed to the corner of Woodrow and Wheat upon completion of bearcrawls; do SSH while waiting on the 6

Proceed down Wheat St. toward Maple – pause at Maple

·         Burpees – 10 (OYO)

Continue down Wheat turning left onto Holly and left into the St. Johns parking lot

Round 1

·         Suicides  – Run to the 2nd parking line and back

·         Run to the 2nd island and back

·         Run to the sidewalk and back

·         Do SSH until the 6 finishes

Round 2

·         Suicides – Bearcrawl to the 2nd parking line and run back

·         Bearcrawl to the 2nd island and run back

·         Bearcrawl to the sidewalk and run back

Depart St. Johns headed up Holly toward Devine.  Stop at the old Strobler

·         People’s Chair – 60 seconds

·         Balls to the wall – YHC’s count

Cross Devine (carefully) and enter the Henry’s parking lot

·         Circuit – 25 Merkins

·         20 Tuck Jumps

·         15 Sky Ups

·         10 Squats

·         Rinse & Repeat

Proceed up Devine (on the sidewalk) crossing Maple and stopping at the Schneider School Apts

·         Circuit – 25 Merkins

·         20 Tuck Jumps

·         15 Sky Ups

Continue up Devine pausing at Burger Tavern 77

·         Circuit – 25 Merkins

·         20 Tuck Jumps

Cross Devine (carefully) and proceed up Woodrow toward Hand;  pause at the brick wall at the corner of Woodrow and Blossom

·         People’s Chair – 60 seconds

Continue up Woodrow toward Wheat.  Turn right onto Wheat and then AYG back to King and ultimately COT

·         Circuit – 25 Merkins

·         20 Tuck Jumps

  • Great words from PaperBoy in the Devo this morning.  The challenge is upon all of us to offer our support, thoughts, and prayers for the Fleischer family BEYOND this week.  When everything quiets down, and the out of town family departs, and the church committees fade to the background it will be up to us to carry the family forward – to get Gump out to workouts.  To move forward.
