Now that the BRR is behind the PAX and our attention turns to cooler weather and shorter, flatter races, YHC thought it appropriate to challenge the PAX with something a little different than our normal Monday 4 miler. Let it be said that the AO does no need a track to perform speed work, we’ve got the Devil’s Triangle (as coined by McLovin).
Conditions: 68 degrees and a little humid
The Thang: Inform PAX that today will be different and that we will stay together to start
Slow mosey out of Trenholm Plaza
Left on Trenholm
Right on Converse to Citadel Park
Stop for instructions
Utilizing Wofford, Citadel and Converse as our triangular “track” (.3 mile distance) the PAX were instructed to do a speed ladder:
1 fast lap
1 recovery lap
2 fast laps
1 recovery lap
3 fast laps
1 recovery lap
Wait for all PAX to finish
Slow mosey back to Trenholm Plaza and end with a lap around the parking lot.

Moleskin: For many who struggle with getting faster on the run, a speed session every couple of weeks can make a world of difference. You do not need to run long distances, you just need to push you body harder than you normally run over a typical 3-5 mile post. Something to consider as we all plan our next Qs at run groups.
