5 initial PAX took to the gloom this morning with early word that we should be joined by a FNG. No signs of him at 0530, so away we go on our typical Monday morning, something tough, challenging and different from the week before, Chisel. Instructions were set that this morning, the route would be no loops, just straight across and back. On a return trip, YHC noticed a “new shadow” getting instructions from a fellow PAX. Our FNG had arrived, better late than never, and without missing a beat, “I’ll just jump right in then” and finished the workout with us.

– Chisel is developing into something great to challenge the PAX in a different way while being able to work on speed as well. I expect 5k times to start showing effects here soon.
– Great work by FNG Warden this morning! Even just for showing up. Most guys, lost in the gloom, not knowing the guys he would be meeting, would have just packed it in for another day, but good job for still showing up and working hard for the time he had left.
