YHC thinks we all have dealt with or know someone whose life has been changed by cancer. It’s even tougher is when it happens to a child. The Curing Kids Cancer organization and The Columbia Fire Department are teaming together to create an amazing fundraiser event!
Even though you may be nursing your wounds from the #MudRun, this is a great opportunity to have some fun, show the fruits of all our labor in the gloom and, most importantly, exercise ALL 3 F’s and raise money for a great cause. The Challenge is for 10 guys (or 12 women) to pull a 55,000 pound fire truck 50 feet, fastest time wins. Entry fee is $200 per team (that’s $20/PAX for those arithmetically challenged). All money stays at our Children’s Hospital and supports the kids in the midlands and beyond who are fighting cancer. More info and sign up is at the link below. Deadline for registration is April 8. Please indicate F3 in your team name so we can get a count. Last year they raised $16,000, YHC says F3 can come out strong and equal that!
F3 Lake Murray AO Speedtrap already has a full team put together. Let’s foster a little competition and see how many AO’s across Columbia, Lake Murray, Lexington, and surrounding regions can put a team in this competition!
Payments & registration are due on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
Registration after April 8, 2015 will increase to an extra $100 per team.
Team check in will begin at 9 a.m. on April 18, 2015.
Event will begin approximately at 10:00 a.m.
All proceeds will benefit the Cancer & Blood Disorders Clinic at Palmetto Richland Children’s Hospital.
