No Such Thing as an Easy Day

Conditions: Hot, muggy.  Shocking, right?

Lured by my pre-tweet of an easy run, Stumble matched its previous attendance record at 13. With this group, however, easy is no longer synonymous with slow.  In what felt like a pretty smooth 4.25 mile route, the bulk of the group ran about 8:30 splits for the entire route (the last mile coming in at brisk 8:15 pace).

The Thang:  The first part of our route was largely aimed at getting us on to Chimney Hill Road. We ran Chimney Hill until ends in a cul-de-sac, did an about face and ran part way back.  Instead of doing a pure out-and-back, we turned at Dean Hall and then did Rosebank until its wraps around and become Hampton Trace.  Hampton Trace to Woodlands to Queens Way to the rally point.

Announcements:

  1. F3 half marathon from Chapin to Little Mtn. on August 15
  2. Woodshed convergence on August 29
  3. Hot Summer’s Night 5k this Saturday (check out Strictly Running site)
