Getting Better at The Shed

11 PAX emerged from the #Fartsack this morning in search of a way to #GetBetter. This morning was different than many others. There was no cold air or sub-freezing temperatures to be found in the #Gloom.  In its place, was nearly perfect weather and a call to be challenged in ideal conditions.  Those PAX who joined YHC this morning conquered the #Fartsack, defied the temptation of stasis, and did, for better or worse, something many of their fellow PAX chose not to do: They decided to #PushTheRock.

Conditions – 61 and partly cloudy (Perfect Burpee Weather)

Moleskin:

  • Really appreciated the opportunity to post with the Pax of #Woodshed this morning. The AO has it all, blocks, tires, bricks, a baseball field, playgrounds, parking lots, and even a park. So many locations and ways to #GetBetter and we only scratched the surface this morning.
  • T-Claps to the Pax for suffering through the balls to the wall/pull up circuit. It was terrible. Imagine wanting to take a break in order to do a pull up? Yes, it was that rough. YHC called an audible and gave the Pax multiple 5 second breaks in order to ward off a mutiny.
  • T-Claps to the Pax for indulging YHC with the bear crawl around the island on Olde Knight. Seemed like a stupid thing to do after lots of upper body work, and, it was. The Pax can now check that one off their list.
  • T-Claps to Caboose, who recently became a member of the Pax, and has been posting consistently. Glad to see that he is on his way to being a former #SadClown.
  • Much respect for Kenny G who was getting work in early this AM as he could not post to #Woodshed because of his work schedule. Instead of excuses, Kenny G, being a #HIM, remained committed to #PushingTheRock.
  • Considering the tragedy that occurred in Florida yesterday, let us not forget to hug our 2.0s and enjoy each and every moment we have with them. No parent would ever expect to send their child to school with the thought that they would not return home. Let us also be mindful of and thankful for the teachers, who, as they work to provide our kids with an education, are now also tasked with managing the chaos of unforeseen violence. They need our appreciation and support. Violence against one another is a problem, whose origin can be found in Genesis 4. Our failure to value the life of another is a reflection of our failure to see that we are loved by our creator God, so much so that He, instead of taking our lives, gave up His own for us. Let’s work to stop the violence in our country by reminding our families, friends, neighbors and even strangers that their value can be found in Christ, whose plan for us is not destruction but salvation.
