YHC posted the Wednesday morning route early Tuesday afternoon in hopes of enticing the pax to arrive prepared to conquer some hills. Instead, many decided that that the fartsack was more inviting then the hills that lied before them. Not to worry, 4 men arose to the gloom to push themselves and to #getbetter

Moleskin: Lots of thoughts run through one’s head as they venture into a hilly route. The first of which is that if no other pax were present, there is no way YHC would pursue this route on his own, but with the motivation of making each pax better, there is no question in the pursuit difficult tasks. Secondly (but similarly) standing at the top of a hill looking down it, knowing that if you follow that path, you must come back up the hill is daunting and easy to by pass when alone, but knowing the men around you are also pursuing the difficult path makes the choice of going down the hill that much easier to make. It is in these two ideas that YHC is constantly thankful for the men of F3, for it is their fellowship and strength that often help us to make the difficult choices in life that we all know are better for us.
One other note, Garnish, one of the quietest leaders amongst us continues to amaze YHC with how much better he has gotten the past year. He absolutely crushed the P200, averaging a sub-7:00 mile over 24 miles, then last weekend crushed the Governor’s Cup half marathon in 1:32:46 and average of 7:15 per/mile on a hot hilly course. He never brags, he never boasts, you wouldn’t know how fast he truly is until you see him turn on the jets in a race. He is the definition of humility but should also be recognized for his consistency and commitment. Kudos to you brother!
