8 F3’ers and 1 FNG posted this morning for the hard launch of F3 Columbia Amble. This is a workout of a different color and the Pax had a nice run through the Lake Katharine neighborhood. While there will be challenging days of hill work and track work most of the workouts will be casual training runs of 3, 4 or 5 miles in the neighborhood. We’ll kill ourselves at the T/Th/Sat boot camp workout.
PREAMBLE (get it?): The 9 pax were told the 3 mile route from Kathwood Baptist Church parking lot through the neighborhood and were encouraged to find a partner or two of similar ability to run with.
The THANG: 3 mile loop through Lake Katharine.

– Great group for our first official workout that exceeded our expectations of ~4-5.
– FNG James Reynolds is the other brother of Chaser. Chaser’s youngest brother, Okra, posted for a workout in January. Chaser only needs to get his father (living in Hickory, NC) out to F3 to complete the vaunted #FullFamilyEH. By the way, Chaser’s father is a marathoner and does the Blue Ridge Relay every year. Let’s just say he could keep up. #genes
– Looking forward to a good run Friday morning. We plan to try out our 4 mile course.
-Reminder that this Sunday is the last day to sign up for the F3 spots in the USMC Mud Run this October. You don’t want to miss the F3 presence at the Mud Run. Truly something special. We’ve commited to 5 teams from Columbia and have 3 signed up I believe. We also have a handful of singles signed up so go ahead and sign up as a single and we’ll get you on a team.
