4 Pax made it out of bed the day after Christmas and were greeted with another 70 degree day. They were also greeted with 4 blocks upon arriving. First a quick warm up in the parking lot. SSH x 30, Imperial walker x30 and Mountain climber x25. Grab the blocks and mosey to the lower playground. The theme of the workout came about because YHC has spent the last several year ends at Disney World-usually starting the drive down the day after Christmas. These Woodshed/Legion regulars are a touch bunch but YHC wanted to give them a taste of what one could expect from a day at the park-relaxing day right? We started with a circuit I called “small world”. Embracing our inner child we lunge walked up the playground equipment and over to the slide. Down the slide, meet at the bottom for burpee x1. Didn’t realize how fast a 200 lb man in sweaty exercise shorts could go down a slide. Bear Crawl (preparation in case your M dropped her wedding ring at the park). Back to the steps, and start over. down the slide for burpee x2 and so on for 5 laps.
Next up we had to gently carry the block around the track(don’t wake up the sleeping baby). Partner up and complete a total of 50 jump squats (often needed to see over the Disney crowd) and 50 pull-ups. Once complete then another lap (beer run-no baby). next up 50 big boy sit ups and 50 shoulder presses with blocks as a team. Pretty sure Kenny G and Twinkle did 50 each so they are indeed Legion legit. Another brisk lap followed by 50 merkins and 50 LBC for the team. Another lap and for the fireworks we had 50 burpees and 50 flutters as a team. No time for more rides so we carried the blocks back to cot. Kenny G stepped up and led 3 minutes of mary. no announcements. quick prayer for the family of the young girl that was in the tragic car accident on old woodlands.
