Counting up? Or Down…

Sometimes things just look a little easier on paper. We have heard that said before and it certainly applied to today. YHC had what he thought would be a tough, but fair workout planned. Turns out the tough part edged over the fair part and a few adjustments need to be made on the fly. The PAX agreed that this ended up being tougher than it sounded. Low reps don’t always mean an easy day.

Conditions: 75 and Swampy

The Thang:
Warm-up:
– SSH x 20 IC
– Lunges 30 OYO
– Mountain climbers 30 counting one leg
Jog to corner of Clemson & Converse – 50 merkins OYO
Jog to the next pain station.
The next set of three exercises is done slowly, going down on 1-2-3 and up on 4. Each corner is a set consisting of merkins, squats and LBC’s.
Corner of Converse and Wittering: 15 IC
Corner of Wittering and Woodleigh: 20 IC
Corner of Woodleigh and Radcliffe: 25 IC
Corner of Radcliffe and Converse: 20 IC
Corner of Converse and Clemson: 15 IC

Jog back to parking lot
Calf raise medley: 30 each of toes straight, turned in and turned out. The PAX felt this one.
Big boy situps: 30 OYO
Russian Twists: 30 counting one side (courtesy of ChooChoo)
Run to end of parking lot, knock out 30 merkins and sprint with all you have back to COT.

Great work by the PAX today. The heat and humidity continue to make things tough, but everyone keeps on moving forward. It is always a pleasure to lead this group of men.

Announcements: tonight is an open house for Palmetto Place headed up by Termite. Contact him for directions, August 29 is the one year anniversary of Woodshed. We will converge there that day to help them celebrate. First Friday dad’s is this Friday at Dreher.
