The WORKOUT:

The Fort Mill PAX rolled up around 0640 as the first non-Cola PAX (With the exceptions of F3 Lexington’s Argyle and F3 Lake Murray’s Socrates who joined Fallout on the ruck). President of F3 nation Dark Helmet was in tow and was ready to get it on!
As 0700 approached, Fallout gathered the PAX and circled them up in the front of the parking lot to the left of Dreher HS. He opened with the disclaimer and turned it over to Bayou who lead us in the Lord’s Prayer. Then Fallout lead us in a series of exercises for the first 10 minutes and he was chastised by Dark Helmet relentlessly.
At that point it was turned over to Fountainhead (2nd Nant’an of F3 Cola). F’head lead us to the bus loop where he stressed the importance of ISI (Iron Sharpening Iron). So we partnered up and had 4 stations on the loop where each of the 4 stations required 100 total reps between you and your partner. Between the stations you were to Bear Crawl to the next station.
1st Station: Merkins
2nd Station: Big Boy Sit-ups
3rd Station: Squats
4th Station: American Hammer

Time was passed to McLovin (3rd Nant’an of F3 Cola) who promptly lead us to the courtyard in the back of Dreher HS and circled us up for the following Jacob’s Ladder of Monkey Humpers and Merkins.
The Monkey Humpers were called IC and he called out certain PAX to “Look me in the eye” to make them amazingly uncomfortable. It was awesome, especially for Chyna and McNugget! He then called a People’s Chair for a minute and turned it over to Billy Bob (4th Nant’an of F3 Cola).
Billy Bob proceeded to lead us to the front of the school on Millwood near the flag and asked us to circle up. Al Gore until the 6 arrived. Instructions were given.
5 Rounds: EMOM – 5 burpees and then BBS until the top of the minute. Many PAX at this point were not having the whole exercise thing get in the way of a good time with close friends that they’d made over the past 10 years. Mainly because they didn’t want to do burpees. However, this did keep Dark Helmet quiet for a little portion of the workout.
Handoff to McNugget (5th Nant’an of F3 Cola) and recognition for the fact that McNugget took over in January of 2020 at Memorial Stadium then 2 ½ months later, the COVID Pandemic hit. This was almost a wrecking ball for many. We couldn’t gather together. We couldn’t go to public places. We couldn’t see our brothers but in virtual (Zoom, Teams, and others) spaces. McNugget and his team developed virtual WODs and we’d show up on a computer or phone screen to workout “together”. When we discuss PROXIMITY and how important that is, it was taken away from us and it was difficult for all. Lots of men developed their own workout routines and others just stopped being involved all together. There was even a group of about 4-8 that met secretly outdoors and did the virtual workouts together (don’t tell anybody). All of this was extremely important to keep F3 Columbia going and that was all because of McNugget and his SLT thinking outside the box. Please forgive me for that side note. Back to the WORKOUT.
McNugget likes teams and he had us all count off into 5’s. Each group had to grab a telephone pole in the back of his truck and do suicides between the speed bumps in the front of Dreher for 7 minutes. Teams would take turns switching off the weight of the poles.
Time was then switched to YHC. At this time, the PAX were aligned back into formation of teams in columns. The PAX were lead back to the parking lot in a Mosey/Gaggle formation. We all circled up and waited for the 6 arrived. Burpees were called as the resting exercise while we waited.
10 SSH IC followed by 3 burpees. Rinse and Repeat for 5 rounds.
The final 3 minutes were MARY because any good workout can’t have enough Mary with banana hammock season always in the near future. Flutter kicks, American Hammer, and some other IC exercises were called. Time had expired at that point.
All PAX were asked to bring it in and Sway (1st Nant’an of F3 Cola) was recognized for accepting the challenge of bringing, leading, and then giving F3 Columbia away for others to lead. YHC can tell, it and you have changed my life. I would’ve probably never met many of you men that push me to be better each and every day. Here we are 10 years later and the challenge now is to grow to be better than we are today. We must challenge one another to become better men in our community. That community could be our household, extended family, neighbors, church, City, State, or Nation. Our country needs male community leaders now more than ever and we’ve already shown that we want to be part of it. We have a great opportunity before us men. How are we going to hold each other accountable for our actions to become virtuous leaders?

Prayer: Let us pray, Lord thank you for this day and these men. We pray that You will give us strength, so we do not grow weary in our leadership role. Father, the tasks may seem overwhelming and exhausting, but we pray that we will recognize that we are assigned to do Your will. Therefore, we know that at the right time, we will reap the harvest if we do not give up. Lord, we pray for divine strength and that we will not rely on ourselves, but on You. Amen
