17 PAX (including 1 FNG. Welcome, Jane Doe!) and a dog posted at Stride this morning for a route that featured a loop inside of a loop. Loop-Ception, if you will. This route sucked. YHC forgot the hilly awfulness that is South Church St, and designed a route that incorporated those awful hills 2-4 times depending on your choice of route. Here’s what it looked like:
Conditions: 57 deg F, slight breeze, clear
Count off, Disclaimer (safety review), Prayer
The Thang:
– From Maiden Ln, Left on S Church
– Right on Hendrix
– Left on Gibson
– Left on S Church
– Left on Roberts
– Left on Claudius
– Left on Gibson
– Left on S Church
– Left on Hendrix, rinse & repeat the loop
Two loops with the Roberts/Claudius loop both times is about 7.3 miles
Two loops with the Roberts/Claudius loop once is about 6.3 miles
Two loops with no Roberts/Claudius loop is about 5.25 miles.
Take your route of choice.
Lessons Learned
– This route has good BRR training potential.
– Nobody took the 7.3 mile option, with good reason.
– Dunphy gets fired up about naming FNGs.
