Play Ball!

5 PAX were grinding out some blockwork as the Q hustled towards them, 10 minutes late.  #TClaps to Moist and crew for keeping the faith and holding down the fort, and Kobains that we we didn’t get more time on the diamond.  Here’s how it went down:

Welcome, Disclaimer, and BOM (presumably)

Weather: Pretty much perfect.

The Thang:

PAX warm up as Q rounds the corner onto US-1 from Main St.  Overhead block carries with pain stations. Wrapped up with Markins X 25 OYO.  That’s where Banjo takes over.

Since we have 5 blocks out, arrange 4 of them in a diamond about 20 paces apart, with the 5th in the middle.  This is where the deck of cards is kept, and where the pitcher bear-crawls from the baselines to read the card we’re dealt while the PAX perform the hold/movement.  PAX perform the count (1-14) of exercises and then the hold or travel that corresponds to the suit while the pitcher bear-crawls back to their spot. Pitcher rotates every hand:

Hearts: SSH & Mosey the bases

Diamonds: Merkins & Plank

Clubs: Squats & Al Gore

Spades: Burpees & Low-crawl (#crowdpleaser)

Non-stop fun once we get in the rhythm.  Thanks for playing!

Prayer Requests:

*Moist’s niece.

*Trickle’s hernia surgery, today

*Drisocket’s Wednesday FNG – wife recently had surgery to remove thyroid cancer.

*Banjo’s missionary friend in India, ill stricken and also struggling with ministry funding.  Please lift up his family and consider supporting: http://www.jagministries.org/

*Genine (LM FiA PAX) – car accident in Myrtle Beach.  Stable condition but hurt.

Moleskine:

*Man, YHC snoozed so late he almost just let this one go – but glad he didn’t.  Possibly a life lesson here. There are often times we think we’re too far behind to bother, but we must remember there are others counting on us.

*Tough group of dudes here – #TClaps on 82 days of Shovelflagging!

Devo: Got Rope?

Jude 24: “He is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy!”

The day we accept Christ as our savior, we’re handed a rope and a harness.  While it does not prevent us from slipping or missing a step, but it will prevent falls and stumbles.  We’ll feel the rope pull back on us when it’s time. I’m glad my rope tightened when it did; and to remain tethered alongside my F3 Nation brothers.
