One (more) Last Time

Just when I thought I had conducted my final mid-week Q in Lexington, an invite from Quisenberry to hold the reins for the Kamikaze one last time and “modify it as I see fit” proved to good to pass up. Rather than subject the PAX to the BURPEE version from last time, I decided to mash up the Kamikaze course with the exercises from The Arena’s Gladiator AMRAP (invented by yours truly). What followed was a fitting final beatdown for the TP PAX and YHC.

For those looking for the details, here’s how things went down…

DEVO
The Kamikaze has long been a measuring stick for me to chart my physical fitness progress. I’ve looked forward to running it each time and can still remember how much of a challenge that first running was for me. Over the years, I’ve seen myself get stronger and be able to do more, but this had much more to do with my daily commitment to getting stronger than the Kamikaze itself. In the same way, major milestones or markers in life only serve to chart our progress that we’re making through being dedicated daily to living for Christ, serving our families, one another and our communities. My challenge to myself and the PAX was to take advantage of every moment in the present and not always have our minds focused on the future. In doing this, we can maximize our personal and spiritual growth and make a greater impact for Christ.
