Getting asked to be Reaper AOQ about 18 months ago, I still kind of laugh at it. But, we all made it happen. We’ve had a great run with our very first Specialty AO in F3Lexington. It’s been a competitive event. It’s been a fun event. It’s been combined into a CSAUP event at anniversary dates. It’s been changed up and moved around. It’s Spooky. It’s got some stairs now. But, it always comes back around to the Hill. .22 miles up (Merkins at the top) and .22 miles down (LBCs at the bottom) for 45 minutes. Oh, and we even got tunes now. Always tunes requested by the PAX.
It’s been a great run and I have actually enjoyed this role. We’ve really shot some life into an otherwise brutal workout. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of you that have assisted in making The Reaper a Friday staple in your weekly workouts. A few I’d like to thank personally….Thumbs Up, No Help, PYT, Clipboard, Netflix, Ponzi, Shake & Bake, Shades of Grey, & Ranger. And, to all the other F3 Lexington PAX that have been Friday regulars, I thank you. The Wander Boys. The Stomp Boys. Thank you for joining up on a few Fridays here and there. Your attendance has made The Reaper a great thing.
Now, The Reaper is left in the hands of a tremendous human being. One that pretty much just gives all he has to his family, business, friends, and the local children of Columbia, SC that battle pediatric cancer every day. Shake & Bake, this baby is yours. It is in great hands and we all know you will do great things with it. Let’s all continue to support Shake & Bake with his next great leadership role.
