Conditions: 56 degrees; Glorious chill in the gloom under a full moon
39 PAX posted in the Graveyard gloom with clear eyes and sound hearts. Chin Strap rescued an FNG (Wet Spot) from the fart sack on a reconnaissance mission in the Sad Clown Shuttle and was welcomed by 38 brothers. Shank bumbled, stumbled, with frequent and deep breaths, but completed his VQ, with only one “if you can’t do it, don’t Q it” reminder from the Pax. (not sure speaking of yourself in the third person is a good thing, unless you are Ricky Henderson or Cam Newton, but Shank digresses)
Under the full moon, a modified Jacob’s Ladder, and Lunar Lunge Fest ensued, with much embrace and heart felt thanks from the Pax. So overwhelming was the excitement, that PYT asked for more, and joyfully exclaimed, “let’s lunge all the way back and not stop”, to which the Q gladly rewarded the request; we are “here to serve” after all. Modified Jacob’s Ladder
• Top of Hill – Merkins Station (4) sets of 20, 15, 10, 5
• Bottom of Hill – Squat Station (4) sets of 20,15,10, 5
• 2’s for partner groups sent to bottom of hill to start and 1’s at top of hill
• 1’s and 2’s each perform their first applicable set of 20
• 1’s (Merkin Station) plank when merkin set complete until partner finishes squat set and runs to top off the hill.
• 1’s run down the hill, and complete Squat sets
• Rinse and repeat with declining sets, per station, until both partners complete all sets and are both together at top of hill
• Plank until entire Pax complete

“18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear.”
With all the concerns in the world today; Ebola, Wars, Terrorism, etc. it is easy for our families, children, co-workers, and even us to become gripped with fear. Reminding ourselves that Christ’s love, that removed our fear of death from sin, can give us full confidence, even in the most tumultuous of times. This knowledge can empower us to be the calm in someone else’s storm or moment of fear. Having Christ’s “perfect” love residing in us gives us the ability to share his love, and comfort those our lives touch. This love will be strength to our fellow believer, and a light to the non-believer. We can share this love, the very love that will expel the fear in others.
