This was Detour’s idea.

About two months ago, after about the 2nd or 3rd Ramble runvergence that I can recall, some chatter started on the Scramble Twitter DM about a Scramble convergence. I think it was Detour’s idea. And Detour wasn’t even here on Friday to see it come to life.

YHC took the idea and ran with it, calling for a Scramble #summerfun runvergence for June 1. Not that there needs to be a reason for a runvergence, but YHC felt there needed to be some kind of a theme. The simple fact of a Friday seems to bring out a crowd, and with this Friday being the first of June and the end of school, it seemed like a good time for some summer-themed fun.

T-claps to all who posted. It’s probably good for a little change of scenery every now and then, and YHC makes every effort to post at other convergences around town.

The route was the old stand-by Michelle’s Scramble 5K. Leave Trenholm Plaza by the back entrance, left on Trenholm Road, Left on Forest Ridge, Left on Quail, Left on Shady Lane, go to cul-de-sac and turn around and take Shady to Woodlake, right on Woodlake to Trenholm, right on Trenholm and return.

Lots of fast times on Friday. Overall fast time went home with some Summerfest hops, and the other fast runners got some great prizes that they will cherish forever. Nothing says start-of-summer like some cheap plastic pool toys!

COT and BOM.
