The cold is only in your mind

YHC entered the gloom this am expecting small numbers due to the National Championship game the previous evening and due to the 25 degree temperatures, but as the pax soon discovered, the cold is really only a mental block once you start moving. So many pax let the weather make their morning decisions for them, when truly we have more control over our comfort than the pax takes credit for. In fact most left this morning feeling as though they were too warm.

Conditions: 25 degrees, dry and no wind

The Thang:

Warm up with:

25 SSH IC
10 LBAC IC
10 LBAC IC

Head for the bricks and then to the bus loop…

Instructions were easy today, there would be three sets of 12 minutes AMRAPs. One exercise at the park end of the bus loop, an ab exercise in the middle and another exercise at the other end of the bus loop. Pax would do the ab exercise twice each lap and counts start with 10 and add 5 each “lap.”

Set 1:
Curl/Press
B-ups
Imperial Squat Walkers

3 full laps plus a 25 set of curl/press completed

Set 2:
Merkin Rows (crowd pleaser)
Russian Twists
Jump Lunges

3 full laps completed

Set 3:
Squat Thrusters
Iron Cross
Burpees

2 laps completed plus 20 squat thrusters and 20 iron cross at park

Return bricks

Return to COT with 2 minutes left, so pax completed 20 Burpees
