Split down the middle at #Blitz

Chatter for Blitz was at an all time high yesterday evening as YHC planned the Blitz Q. As the HCs came in, it became clear that this would be a big showing for Blitz. The plan was simple. To get in an intense 30 minute workout, YHC decided not to travel. The Pax would stay in the parking lot and become more familiar with it then they ever wanted. The idea was to split the workout right down the middle, 15 minutes of Burpees, 15 minutes of AMRAPS. This is what 11 men endured:

Conditions: Chilly, 30 degrees.

The Thang:
The workout is split evenly,
15 Minutes Burpees
15 Minutes of AMRAPs.

Warm up Counterclockwise lap around the parking lot to the Northeast corner of the parking lot. (Disclaimer issued on the Fly. #NotAProfessional)

At each Parking space stripe, one burpee the full length of the lot. (29 stripes = 29 Burpees)
Flutters while waiting on the six.

5 Minute AMRAP:
5 OYO Merkins
5 OYO Jump Squats
5 OYO LBCs
(The Pax note that this AMRAP equates to a burpee with some LBCs – good call!)

From the bottom of the parking lot, one burpee at each parking space strip, the full length of the lot (29 stripes = 29 more burpees)

Sprint back to the start. Total Burpees = 116. Pax complete 4 more burpees for a even 120.

Thats 15 minutes and 120 burpees and 15 minutes and countless merkins, abs, and squats.

Moleskin:
– On the first run of burpees down the parking lot, the pax were complaining – wondering if the parking spots were actually bike spots – they seem a lot closer then you’d think when you’ve got 20 something burpees ahead of you.
– On the third run, the grumbles from the pax got rather loud. I believe I overheard one pax (possibly our Nan’tan) say “You are an evil, evil man.”
– Hate that the AO Q wasn’t there for the record breaking day, but Cornstache was busy giving the guys at Woodshed a beatdown. I’m assuming this is the most number of Burpees at a Blitz workout. 11 pax posting beats the previous record by 1.
– Bundy, welcome to your first bootcamp. Keep on coming. There is a lot of fun to be had.
– YHC apologizes for holding the pax over an extra minute today, but getting the Burpee count up to 120 was well worth it.
– The pax all learned something today. The parking capacity for the #Blitz lot. #TheMoreYouKnow
