For Good Friday, we will have a Ruck/Walk (rucks encouraged but not required) to help us identify with Christ and His Journey from the Last Supper to Calvary and consider the love and grace He showed through the price He paid for us all.
We will start at 5:30 AM in the parking lot of Dreher High School.
(Coupons will be included, but the pax are free to participate as they feel so led)
- Gather at the Mother Ship (Dreher) ready to depart at 5:30 AM with your rucks, blocks, etc… (wear your headlamps and your reflective gear).
- Ruck to Incarnation Lutheran for designated readings and exercises.
- Ruck to St. John’s Episcopal for designated readings and exercises.
- Ruck to St. Joseph Catholic Church for designated readings and exercises.
- Ruck to Shandon UMC for designated readings and exercises.
- Return to Dreher High School (approximately to drop off coupons/BOM/COT)
Handouts for the readings will be provided so you can follow along at each stop.
This will be a meaningful way to start off your celebration of Easter.
The total distance will be about 2.0 miles, and the goal is to finish at 6:30 AM, and will include some work, scripture and prayer. Hopefully this will be a time of mostly #3rdF with some #2ndF and #1stF included.
