50s and a Mama Bear Crawl

Intro: 18 men made the best decision and got out of the fartsack for a beatdown of epic proportions. Our new Nant’an was making his way out to the woods of Blythewood to see the great things the men of Sawmill have been doing. YHC wasn’t supposed to be on the Q but a last minute work schedule change freed YHC to Q today and Valdez was nice enough to cover for YHC on Thursday. Knowing we would have guest YHC began to peruse the archives of various backblasts looking for inspiration. There was one exercise YHC knew was needed – The Bear Crawl.

YHC is not the best at knowing the process so YHC bowed to our Wardaddy, Rudder for the Disclaimer.

We started with a mosey to the blocks (YHC had the misfortune of getting the big landscape block) We then settled into the parking lot for the Warmaramma

The Thang:

YHC got out in the gloom early and set up cones every 5 yards for 50 Yards.

Round 1 (With Block)

  • Lunge walk 5 Yards do 5 Curls 50 Yards
  • Cusack Back 5 Overhead Block Press 50 Yards
  • 50 Chest Press with Block – 50 yard sprint and back
  • 50 LBCs with Block 50 yard sprint and back

Round 2

  • 50 Merkins – 50 yard sprint and back
  • 50 squats – 50 yard sprint and back
  • 50 Big Boys – 50 yard sprint and back

Round 3(with block-why YHC has no clue)

  • Lunge walk 5 Yards do 5 Curls 50 Yards
  • Cusack Back 5 Overhead Block Press 50 Yards
  • 50 squats with block 50 yard sprint and back

Round 4

  • 50 Yard Bear Crawl. 5 Merkins every 5 yards.
  • 50 Yard Bear Crawl back no stops

Cooldown

The Burpee Suicide- a 5 stop suicide

  • Stop 1 – 1 Burpee and 1 Burpee at start line
  • Stop 2 – 2 Burpees and 2 Burpees at start line
  • Stop 3 – 3 Burpees and 3 Burpees at start line
  • Stop 4 – 4 Burpees and 4 Burpees at start line
  • Stop 5 – 5 Burpees and 5 Burpess at start line

Most ran out of time during Stop 5.

COT: Billy Bob talked to PAX and the future of F3 Columbia, showed some respect for Sawmill, and there was some mumblechatter about a survey. It was nice to have our leadership come spend a morning with us. Looking forward to the future of Sawmill and F3 Columbia.
