YHC got his first dose of a Q with notebook in attendance, I must admit, he knocked me off my game a little. “No, Notebook, I do not wear my little tights (compression pants) to work”.  At any rate, work was done through the strong mumble chatter.

Devotion 

YHC shared with the Pax a little game that my 6 y/o and I play together, in which I ask her “what’s rule number one”, then she responds, “Never make God number two”.

While that’s simple and intended to teach her something that she may not even be able prioritize correctly yet, I know that I need this reminder personally (and daily). Work priorities, social stuff, fitness, what ever it may be, Nothing I chase or prioritize outside of my relationship and service for God ever satisfies me; I always find myself wanting more or something “better”. However, I always find “enough” though when I rest exclusively in my relationship with Christ.

Finally, I shared the following quote that I saw on Social media yesterday:

“If you find yourself beginning to love any pleasure better than your prayers, any book better than your Bible, any house better than God’s, any table better than the Lord’s….a present indulgence better than the hope of Heaven—Take Alarm!”-Guthrie.
