BackBlast: Inaugural “Wildcat” – Lexington (SC) Region #CSAUP December 4th 2018

42 PAX of F3 Lexington stepped up and created a new in-town #CSAUP that hopefully can stick around and only get better.

This multi-mile/multi-pain station #CSAUP between the AOs of Hollow/CAT, Ambush, Shawshank, Arena and Surge was a success.  It pushed PAX to go harder than they normally would and get better.   Believe that the 2ndF is what pushed everyone to finish – to know that someone would be at Shawshank waiting to talk about how horrible this was – made you want to finish.  It brought together all the PAX – ruckers and runners alike.  No matter what the pace or what you were doing – you saw each other at the AOs and asked the question “how you doing?” to which you get the same look of “wondering why I signed up for this…”.  I believe everyone truly had fun and enjoyed the camaraderie with each other.

Start at one AO, do a 10min pain station, run to the next AO, do another 10min pain station, repeat until you’ve made the loop back to where started.  It’s about a 17-mile loop around the AOs, which ended up being a little over 18 miles when you include the bootcamps.

 

Below is what we did at each AO.

  • Shawshank – Gibson Road Soccer Complex (QIC: Cheers)

In remembrance of the passing of President Bush we did 41 reps of each dips, incline merkins, decline merkins, regular merkins and BBSUs.

  • Arena – New Providence Elementary (QIC: Look for Voltron truck with Board with instructions)

Run from pole to pole: Complete up to five laps as time allows.

Pole #1: Merkins (Single Count) – 1st lap – 10, 2nd lap – 20, 3rd lap – 30, 4th lap – 20, 5th lap – 10

Pole #2: BBSU (Single Count) – 1st lap – 10, 2nd lap – 20, 3rd lap – 30, 4th lap – 20, 5th lap – 10

Pole #3: Squats (Single Count) – 1st lap – 10, 2nd lap – 20, 3rd lap – 30, 4th lap – 20, 5th lap – 10

Pole #4: LBC’s (Single Count) – 1st lap – 10, 2nd lap – 20, 3rd lap – 30, 4th lap – 20, 5th lap – 10

  • Surge – Rocky Creek Elementary (QIC: Flipper)

Mini-FLOOD AMRAP:  One Lap around parking lot.

There were several cone stations around the parking lot and at each cone we either did 10 Hand Release Merkins & 10 LBC’s or 10 squats & 10 BBSU’s.  We also did 2 burpees at each light pole as we made our rotation around the parking lot.

  • The Hollow/CAT – Lexington High School (QIC: Mercy Rule & GraveDigger)

 

  • Ambush – Pleasant Hill Middle (QIC: Lumbergh & Bambi)

Finish back at Shawshank for water, coffee and donuts and some good 2nd F wondering why we just did that.
